Private investigators licensed in California regulated in managed by the Department of Consumer Affairs.  Licensed investigators are required to certify having multiple years of investigative experience and demonstrate knowledge and aptitudes by passing a written test.

 

 Folklore and cultural stories have long permeated society when it comes to private investigators.  Unlike the world of subterfuge; from fictional stories of Sherlock Holmes to countless books, television shows and movies, a profession emerged of dedicated individuals responsible to tackle and make order out of chaotic circumstances. 

 

The law provides a licensed private investigator may at their option hire employees to assist with legal investigations. Generally speaking, investigators are either directly licensed or an employee of a licensed qualified manager.

 

Gold River Investigations selectively conducts ethical investigations of legal matters on the behalf of insurance companies, attorneys, and others.

Position Descriptions

Administrative Support

An introduction to the world of private investigations by providing administrative support to office management and other investigators.  Having previous with clerical support, such as receptionist, investigative assistant, paralegals, etc. is a bonus. 

Candidate is fluent with computer technologies, such as Microsoft Office, email, social medial research, processing digital and video media, etc.  After undergoing a period of training and depending on circumstances, position may lend itself to remote working.  

Position requires attention to detail, preparation of sometimes complex reporting, and open to training and positive suggestions.  Candidates must demonstrate working with others to effectively solve problems with a curiosity and resourcefulness where to find information reliable information.  This is an abbreviated description. 

 

Investigator Trainee

Although we are small company, to the extent possible, we provide training for individuals wanting to learn and apply new skills with regards to conducting investigations of most any type. At the same time, it is not possible to provide training in each and every type of case or circumstance.

Candidates that stand out are self-motivated and committed to learning. The focus of the investigator trainee is to expand conducting various types of investigations including gathering physical evidence, obtaining statements from witnesses and others, and meeting the other many challenges and opportunities in our as we strive to promptly complete thorough and unbiased investigations.  This is an abbreviated description. 

Senior Investigator

The senior investigator position encompasses a wide range of types of cases and accordingly may require flexibility with respect to application of investigative techniques depending on the situation.

Candidate is proficient with digital systems, such as Microsoft Word, email, using a video camera, and related technologies.  This candidate has extensive work experience investigating serious losses, such as catastrophic injuries, fatalities, multiple vehicles, complex work-related injuries, etc.

Candidates should have prior investigative experience and familiar with customary and statutory investigative Techniques and requirements.  This is an abbreviated description.
